What is Noirista?
Noirista is a New York apparel brand that makes film noir t-shirts. Each tee carries either a piece of 1940s–50s crime slang from classic film noir (Grifter, Shyster, On the Lam, Femme Fatale and more) or a restored still from a public-domain noir film such as The Big Combo (1955) or Detour (1945). Are the film images public domain?
Yes. Every film still we print comes from a U.S. public-domain motion picture and is restored for reuse. Our slang designs are original typography.
What do the words on the shirts mean?
They're real underworld slang heard in classic noir: a grifter is a con artist, a shyster is a crooked lawyer, on the lam means running from the law. See the full film noir slang glossary.
Products
How are your products made?
Every item is printed to order by our print-on-demand partner, Apliiq, on a 6 oz heavyweight Bella+Canvas cotton tee. Nothing is mass-produced or warehoused.
What sizes and fits do you offer?
Every design comes in a men's fit and a women's fit, in black or white, sizes XS to XXXL. Each product page has a size chart in inches.
How much do the tees cost?
$42 for XS–XL, $44 for XXL and $46 for XXXL (USD).
Why do you use on-demand production?
Making each piece only when it's ordered means no overproduction, no unsold inventory headed for landfill, and only the materials your order needs.
Ordering
Which payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Shop Pay, from anywhere we ship.
Will I have to pay customs fees or import taxes?
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or handling fees depending on your country. These are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in our prices.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Because each item is printed to order, we can only change or cancel an order before it enters production. Email concierge@noirista.com within 12 hours of ordering for the best chance.
How do I access my account and order history?
Click the account icon at the top right of the site and log in with the email you used at checkout to see order history, order status and saved addresses. You can create an account during checkout.
Shipping
How much is shipping?
U.S. shipping is free on orders of $35 or more, which covers every tee. Smaller U.S. orders ship from $5.65. International shipping is calculated at checkout.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Each order is printed and shipped in about 5–7 business days, then travels 3–5 business days by USPS in the continental U.S., so plan on roughly 8–12 business days total. International delivery times vary by destination and customs.
Where do you ship?
All 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and most international destinations.
How can I track my order?
You'll get an email with a tracking link as soon as your order ships.
Returns & Refunds
Can I return or exchange an item if I change my mind?
No. Because every item is printed to order, we don't accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, fit, or ordering the wrong size or color. Please check the size chart before ordering.
What if my order arrives damaged, defective, or misprinted?
We'll make it right. Email concierge@noirista.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue, and we'll send a free replacement. No need to send anything back. Refund policy.
What if my package gets lost in transit?
If tracking shows no movement for 14 days, contact us and we'll replace or refund the order.
What happens if I entered the wrong address?
If an order is returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, the reshipping cost is the customer's responsibility once you provide the corrected address.
